Creating User Details for School Friends...

I wish to create a repository to store classmate's details from school

Hi. I'm in the last year of school and will be going to university next year. Along with many of my friends we all feel that a method should be employed to keep everyone in touch.

I have my own website and wish to implement some kind of user/content management which will allow school mates to enter their details into a database in which everyone can keep track of each other. The details will include:

1. first name
2. last name
3. email
4. phone number
5. mobile number
6. birthday
7. location
8. username
9. password

I don't currently know how to program using the server side languages and wondering if anyone can come up with a solution? My web host currently has MySQL, PHP/Perl support.

The thing I have in mind is a sort of user login where they can change their details and browse others. So that only those who have logged in can view it.

I realise there are other sorts of these websites where friends keep in touch but I rather much prefer to implement this sort of thing in my website.

If anyone can help then I'm eternally grateful.
