I am severly suffering from 'page jacking' via a 302 redirect!
I have written to them a few times, first politely, next not so polite, then finially a cease and desist letter. STILL no reply from the site in question and no word from Google, whom I also contacted several times.
My search engine results have been 'replaced' with entries that have my title and description and THEIR url.
They are being seen as owing my sites! They are increasing in page rank all the while and in SERPS.
My other pages are disappearing as "I" am being seen by Google as the duplicate site and then being delisted. WRONG!
Can ANYONE give me ANY ideas as what to do to save my long standing and reputable sites?
Is there ANYWAY I can BLOCK visitors from this particular domain that is hyjacking my pages and rank?
What can do since I am being ignored by Google and this site hyjacker(imagine that)?
I am drowning financially and traffic wise from this blatent HYJACKING.
They are happily up and running and growing each day, as I have found they are 'stealing others content' too, and I am going down and out.
HELP!
Sorry to hear about your situation.
Some folks here have reported success in getting the hijacker's site shutdown by contacting their webhost.
You may want to consider notifying their webhost -if you have not done already.
Have you considered filing a DCMA complaint?
Did you get any response from Google?
Hope things work out for you soon. Hang in there, but be ready to rattle a few cages!
I checked into the DMCA and found that there could be a problem. The 'hyjackerscum.com' are apparently actually 'linking' and not copying from me, they are redirecting their site to mine via a 302 redirection and thereby getting the credit.
Hyjackerscum.com are ranked 7, my sites are at a 5, but before the google problems of late they were higher.
It seems Google is ignoring they are not the original site owner of the pages they are redirecting to themselves. It seems like I am being punished by Google because they rank more than I do.
There are two problems, Google who ignores all correspondence to them and the Hyjackerscum.com page redirecting my pages.
When I looked into their site, they have 210,000 + pages indexed and ONLY about 1,000 pages or so are their own content. The rest of their site consists of links to other websites content, all being hyjacked with a 302 redirect in them.
Goggle was told all this, and thus far, they are not doing anything.
I feel that as long as Google turns a deaf ear to this, thieves and hyjackers will continue to get rewarded and us honest site owners will continue to be delisted for no good reason.
Is this what is happening to the internet? Is it being contaminated with the beginnings of what looks like a monopoly of huge sites no one can touch?
What I need is a way to STOP this Hyjacker(s) from using a 302 redirect and claiming all my traffic and ineffect breaking me finacially and my content being indexed with THEIR name being credited for MY work.
Apprently, I was a success to be reckoned with.
Anyone else have any ideas as to how I can stop this? Is there a way in htaccess to block them?
Is there a way I can stop this with a robot.txt?
Is there a way I can do this with my own redirect?
I am stressed....can ya tell...

just to ensure you have not overlooked this possibility...
Most (responsible) webhosts/ISPs would not hesitate getting such clowns off their network. Might be worth a try.

I don't see how you can deal with this using .htaccess, etc. Someone please correct me if I am mistaken here, but don't this redirects prevent a surfer from reaching the webserver hosting the hijacked website? You got to have those 302 redirects removed. AFAIK, it can only be done by (1) hijacker (2) Google/Yahoo/SEs (3) webhosts.
Just wanted you to know u have ESP Bose, cause I am looking into the webhost now.
They are located in Italy.
I read in one place that foreign websites do not have to adhere to the American DMCA laws. Seems they only way was that if the site was taken down by a SE and then they complain to the SE for being taken down,THEN and only then, can they be held accountable for their actions because they would have to petition an American Court to do so. That would bust them for their intentional actions.
SO, seems that a SE needs to delist them. So I will write write write til they respond to the problem.
In the mean time I plan to continue investigating ways to STOP the hyjackers, reading threads, listing to the ideas of you all and contact the webhost. Hopefully between you all and me, we can find a way to stop it.
It is almost like a virus of sorts because, if we all can not prevent this type of abuse, and downright thievery, then this will begin to spread and there will be no way any of us can stop our hard earned and woking sites from being delisted and eventually destroyed.
How will anyone be able to earn any money and have a legitimate business online?
Still think there is a way to have the power more in our hands so we can create a way to stop certain IPs from being able to steal our traffic and content and SEs ignoring us.
Keep the ideas comin...
I have been up til the wee hours reading thread after thread on the topic of this 301/302 'page jacking' in forums thru out webmasterworld.
I am stunned to find that nothing anyone has tried so far, has seemed to work to put an end to this destructiveness.
I did find that some redirects as I suppected, are genuinely accidental, but others are very deliberate(like whats happening to mine and many many others).
ALSO, I noticed these kinds of threads just seemed to end on this topic with no resolve. Is there a resolve I have not found?
Has ANYONE as of yet found a way to stop this very serious redirecting issue?
I also was alarmed to find it has been going on since about Jan of this year. That is 10 months!
Thanks for ANY and ALL input
