I went to Google/GoDaddy Domain control panel to set these:
DNS servers: NS51.domaincontrol.com, NS52.domaincontrol.com
ARecord @ my_IP_address
CNAME www www.mydomain.com
Then I went to my router to set my_IP_address forwarding to 80/80 ports. My Abyss webserver is using port 80.
When I do nslookup -type=a mydomain.com in my cmd line, I get
Name: mydomain.com
Address: my_IP_address
In order to eliminate loopback concern. I use a different PC to browse in a different ISP line to look for mydomain.com and www.mydomain.com. I cannot find it. Can anyone tell me what goes wrong here? Or any direction for me to debug this?
Before I change the port number from 80. The LAN access works for both browsing by mydomain.com and internal IP of the server computer.
I must have done something wrong. I spent about 5 hours to change the port to other number. At first, I changed the public port from 80 to 81 in the router. This diables the LAN access and the WAN access still not working. Then I change the port in Abyss to 81, router public and private ports to 81. There is not luck.
Can you tell me where you change the port number to make your test server work? I also tried port 79, port 8000. No luck.
