Looking for a search to run on a site

I have been attempting to use Perlfect Search (open source) on a site with 10K of static htm pages. It fails to complete the indexing. The script uses up most of the memory and automatically shuts down or the Sys Admin shuts it down.

Has anyone had any experience with something that will index 10K plus of HTML pages and run under Linux and Apache.

Consider Corzgoogle [corz.org], its a PHP script and needs no index. I'm uncertain how it will handle 10K of pages but the price is right and the script has gotten good feedback.
