Changing my site from shared to unique IP

Hi Everyone,

I'm in the process of moving my sites from shared IP's to dedicated IP's as well as using a DNS service to effectively back up my sites (which points to two different servers and two unique IP addresses).

If I change a domain from a shared IP to a dedicated IP (which might be on a new server), will that affect the my Page Rank or the way that search engines index my site?

I would appreciate any advice from anyone who's had to do this before.

If your site remains available to spiders at your domain name throughout the move, an IP change will have no effect on rankings. Sites are indexed by domain name, not IPs.
