Greetings,
I sell PPC advertising on my site (a directory). Many advertisers use ad-servers such as Bluestreak & Atlas DMT. These links are being blocked by Ad-Aware 6.0 and possibly other software as well. In the case of the Atlas DMT links, they appear normally (both hyperlinked images & hypertext), but clicks don't go anywhere. In the case of Blustreak links, the images and hypertext do not even appear. Not only does this reduce my ad revenue, but it also makes valuable content unavailable to my users, who come specifically for these types of links. Does anyone have ideas on how I could evade the ad blocking? Currently, I use hrefs, and link to a ColdFusion page that tracks the click and redirects (cflocation tag) to the advertiser's link.

Thanks for your help!
Kerry

Uh. Well, if your users are there specifically for ad links, then why are they blocking them with adaware etc? The USER blocks ads, it's not happening by gremlin or santa claus....

Kerry, I ran into this as well. The only workaround that you can practice and this works well for me is to put a message to turn off the ad blockers.

I know that is not practical, but it actually works with most people.

The truth is that if they really want to see your links, they will disable their ad blockers. If security is more important to them, then tell them how to re-enable the ad blockers like Ad Aware after they leave your site.
