Not sure if this is the right place to post thes or not but...

I am getting emails from visitors to my site saying that they are unable to connect to my site. The error is : Internet Explorer cannot read this webpage format HTTP 406

It seems to be happening at random. One day they can see every page and the next day they can not see any pages.

All of the pages are html with some Javascript.

Anybody have any ideas?

The official definition [w3.org] doesn't seem to be a whole lot of help. It basically says the server is trying to feed the browser content the browser can't handle.

I suspect that your server may be having issues.

I was thinking the same thing (server issues). I have done tons of searching on this but have come up with nothing but the same or similar explination of the error. I thought that someone here might have some experience with it.

This website is on one of the shared servers I have and I contacted the host yesterday and have yet to recieve an answer.
