How can I test my Captcha image?

I came up with a method but how to know if it works?

I know that this questions borders on blasphemy, but I have to ask it anyway. does anybody know how to obtain a spambot with decent ocr capabilities? I've been playing around with cpatcha images but have no idea if a half-way sophisticated spambot is going to falter or walk right over it.

How good are your defenses if you have no way of testing them?

If anybody has access to a spambot I'd be too grateful!

Or anywhere I could get my hands on the source code, then I could create an online upload facility. Test your captcha image online! wouldn't that be great? hmmm. could be abused by spambots. would have to implement a sophisticated captcha image to bypass spambots automatically submitting their own problems. What irony is that! Maybe the online testing facility is not such a great idea.
