hi all,
hope i am posting at the right place.

I am building a new site with some video clips offered for download. Right now i am thinking of signing a new hosting service since my current one will be definitely not capable of streaming video.

Here is my question:
1. since the size of the video file is between 10-20MB each, I am sure alot viewers will choose to use download acceleration software like "flashget". These softwares use multi-thread downloading up to 10+ simultaneous thread. Does the host count each connection request as a separate request for the whole file?
In another word, if 1 user download a 10mb file with 10 connection in flashget, will my host count that as 10MB or 100 MB towards the bandwidth count?

2. is there a way i can disable multi-connection(thread) downloading for certain files?

Have you thought about getting a Windows 2003 Server box which comes with MS Media Services.

MS Media Services is excelent to stream video / audio. There are hosting plans with 1000GB per month transfer limit for only about 49US$ a month.
