What to do if there is a good CMS product available at low price but no idea is in place how to market it?

This CMS can be integrated in any webdesign and also has built-in e-commerce packs and photo gallery.

Does anybody know companies or businesses who would be interested in picking up the product and further position it to its clients?

Adwords and SE optiomization do some job but CMS authors would prefer working through affiliate webmasters than with direct clients.

There are a hundreds of download directories and script archives online that will gladly list your software product for free.

I'm not going to name any download directories because it's not relevant to this discussion (HOW to promote CMS, not where.).

Offering a free Lite Edition is a great way to spread the word, gain link popularity, and get the product into people's hands and inspire them to upgrade to the Pro edition.
