Hotlinking to pictures, how to fix on ensim system

.htaccess dossent work, what to do?

I have alot of hotlinking and I realy want it to stop now, its ok that Google have there linkt to the pictures, but thats it and I want the hotlinking to be redirect to our site or a "special" pictures or just 404 site.

Im using ensim on a unix/linux server, but the .htaccess just dossent work.

I hope you can help here.

Step one is to contact your hosting company. Insure that Apache is configured to permit/recognize .htaccess files and that mod_alias (redirect directives) and/or mod_rewrite (rewrite directives) are loaded and available for your use.

aye, is that .htaccess doesn't work FULL STOP, ie, never, no directives, nada?

or..

just your redirect code?

my site uses ensim (not that I ever use the panel itself) and .htaccess work fine, in fact they work way better than they should, accepting all sorts of crazy directives, hot-linking redirects among them.

If it's the latter, show us yer code, maybe it's wonked.
