Domain Mapping

Best option?

I have a client who hosted their domain under company name.com they have now change their name..

What do you feel is the best option? to map the newcompanyname.com to the old account or to close that account and open a completely new one ..

I can redirect any traffic from the old name to the new one... or what is better about mapping domains to the same DNS?

What are the good and bad points of these procedures?

Well no one got any advice on this? thought it was a straight forward enough question?..

I've never mapped a domain before and I'm not sure of the impact or necessity..

I'm thinking I'll just close one account and open another then redirect traffic from the old domain..
