How to make an index of paper magazines?

I am working on a project, which should index hundreds perhaps thousends of paper magazines.

The idea is that several individuals can make one page for each issue of a magazine.
They have to follow certain rules like Title, Subtitle, Name of author in defined tags.

Finally all these pages are linked together in a usefull way (Name of magazine / Volume / issue)

In order to make this system work I want to have a search engine spider just theses pages.

Any ideas who to realize this project?

You can do this by using a database and SQL statements to query the database. It's too involved to teach you how to do it here, but there are tutorials all over the internet.
