is it possible to stream audio realtime high quality over the internet
as in recording a singer in america in the UK.

is it now possible to link up different musicians in different place and all work in real time together?

What is and is not possible? and what circumstances would be required to acheive the 2 examples for instance.

the bandwidth is certainly sufficient for high quality sound.
due to the latency (transmission time delay) issues, i don't think you could have a singer and accompanist or multiple musicians separated by large distances.

I am aware of the time delay issue, just wondered if someone had worked out a work around yet?

This was a question from a friend and I think he needs to make it clearer.. I don't understand why he would want to record a singer live from that distance, when it can simply be recorded and the recording sent?

Unless, the singer has no means of recording and he wants to record him live from there ...? That would make sense of his question.. still not sure you could trust live recording with out drop out .. especially of sufficient quality..
