email forwarding & RFC compliance

I have a site setup, which forwards email onto a separate email address. We had some problems recently where mails were being "lost" in cyberspace so I set up a duplicate email address to forward to.
As an example, out of 10 emails to info@website.com:
all 10 were forwarded to my address name@someisp.com
but only 5 were forwarded to name@anotherisp.com

I could only conclude from this that something was dropping the emails at the 2nd ISP.
They said it might be something to do with RFC compliance of the email forwarding host.

Anyone ever heard of this?...or have any other solutions as to what might cause this kind of issue?

Can you tell us a bit more about how you are actually forwarding your e-mails?

Well, the hosting company has an admin function on their contol panel where you set it up.
So I have set i tup so that all email to info@thedomain.com is forwarded automatically to myownemail@anotherdomain.com

I'm unable to check server logs as they don't provide them.
