Hi there,

I want to increase my sites' pingability, so I'm looking for more name servers to add to my webhost's name servers.

Idealy, I woud like 1 name server in Australia, 1 in Asia, 2 in Europe and 3 in the US.

Can you recommend a DNS provider?

Thanks

Martin.

It's going to be pretty unusual to find somebody with a DNS server in Australia, unless it is a domestic Australian provider.

The usual setup for medium to high-end DNS providers is U.S., Europe, Asia.

We aren't supposed to mention specific companies here. I'd suggest looking for providers that use "IP Anycast" technology. This allows them to have multiple DNS servers on the same IP address, with automatic routing to the "nearest" one. Such firms will normally have multiple servers on each continent.
