MySQL keeps crashing after move

Can't lock file (errno: 29)

Last week I migrated over to my hosting services "New and improved" server system, which was supposed to be fully operational with everybody on it in Aug 03.

Since I have moved tables in my database keep freezing. The error I got on the last one is "Can't lock file (errno: 29)".

In order to fix it repair table doesn't work. I have to resart the virtual server.

I have no idea why this is happening. I believe it might have something to do with the DB getting about 7 requests/second on average. It seems to crash during peak traffic hours.

Any ideas? My host doesn't know and have forwarded it on to their upper level support, but I haven't heard from them yet. I would rather find out sooner than later because site down time doesn't pay well.
