hi there,

i have a enom account, and i have a domain that im using on enom's DNS service, they allow me control over the DNS Zone File, i have a hosting account with ev1servers.net and am required to change the nameserver to NS1.EV1SERVERS.NET but i've been told that i can use the enom dns service and edit the zone file so that it just uses the ev1servers NS1 but in the whois still shows the enom's DNS records as the nameservers, can anyone tell me how i can do this?

thanx in advanced

cheers

You shouldn't change the name servers in the zone files. The zone files are more for the Address resolution (A) and Mail Exchange resolution (MX).

Most domain providers have a separate area to modify the name servers.

i think you misunderstood my question, i am not really trying to modify the nameserver, im trying to keep eNom's nameserver for my domain but redirect to my Host's nameservers, that way when someone does a whois lookup on my domain they'll see eNom's nameservers instead of my hosts
