GNU's, Emacs, PHP, MySQL, and Postgresql and its not funny.
Got a very good idea of what i want, but it has to be in house, and i am struggling on this initial venture into the world of http and other systems.
Looking at it all probably oracle 9i product is more suited but the costs are substantial.
my aims of the system are:
content aggregation
seo /sem
membership (trade account, usual suspect, discount qualifier)
Directory & Forums
Ecommerce on basic new-resale items (introductory services to the black belt services).
Stock control
Verification (javascript-client)
Delivery (domestic, continetal, international implementation) - Scary
Full search facilities via DBMS, self propogating further content aggregation
All price options of product services
Full concurrent access in each loaction and across each remote location of stock, and modification of data.
Got the basic premise together the question is the means.
5 remote locations, 4 DSL standard, 1 satelitte, with connection in one country IP with LAN in a third party country.
Ideas? I was thinking alot of firewall and php and mysql, certinaly the system in place at the moment is getting tiresome and hard to maintain.
The real concern is content aggregation to a series of websites, with full search faciites and a global stock control system and search list thats real time to orders.
