Is there a place where you can find out if a person owns a site?

ie, you type in their name and it will come up with their website address.

Even I had a similar question. We have tools to see who owns a domain name, but are there tools which let us enter a person/company name and it displays a list of domains owned by the person/company?

You used to be able to do this with Network Solution's whois tool, but they stopped a few years back. A think it might be due to privacy concerns (haven't seen this feature anywhere else)

Most websites where you can register your own domain name, usually runs you through an 'Availability Check' to see if the domain name is taken.

If it is, there's usually an option to get more information about the registerer (unless they paid extra $$$ to keep their information private).

That's about the best you can do.
