Locked files

I have scripts move data from servers to home using ftp. Ever since one server was offline a few days a go the transfer has failed.

When I run the ftp scripts witrhout "bye" I see this

Openning ASCII mode data connection for data.dat (467274 bytes).
Rename Temp File calloc:I/O error
226 Transfer complete.
ftp:467274 bytess received

But the file is not being transfered because it exists on the other server is 0kb and the date modified is a few days old.

It wont let me manually delete it because it is locked by another user/process, any idea how I can delete it?

Check the running processes on the server. The process that is running the script might still be running.

Yeah I think that was it, I dont know how to check for that but a reeboot sorted it. Thanks.
