Website form will very rarely not send en email

I have a form on my website, when someone submits it, I get both an sms text and also an email.

An hour or so ago I received a text, but not the email. This has happened at least twice before.

So I checked in my logfiles, appended the session id to my domain name, clicked submit myself on the very same data and I received the text AND email. I changed nothing at all.

Can anyone give me any pointers or advice on sorting this?

Are you using a hosted forms service or actually running it off your site?

With hosted services I have seen significant delays in transmission from time to time. Also email delivery is not 100% reliable.
