Just a quick question:
Anyone knows why a single page request to a site having no favicon.ico file shows up as 2 requests for favicon?
The below lines from my log are coming from the same IP (actually, it was me) and I only clicked through from an other sites link. Just one single pageview, but 2 requests for favicon.

[18/Nov/2006:18:06:17 +0100] "GET /favicon.ico HTTP/1.1" 404 209 "-" "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; de; rv:1.8.0.8) Gecko/20061025 Firefox/1.5.0.8"

The only thing I can think of (and this is a pure guess) would have been if you had visited from a bookmark rather than by clicking on a link - ie. Firefox was loading the favicon next to the bookmark and on the address bar.

Other than that, it's not a behavior I have seen before from FF 1.5.

Thanks for the reply.
It was definetly through a link.
Nothing much to worry about, but I was just wondering.
Have a good week.
