FTP problem

I'm working with a client whose FTP site I can only get through via IE, and even then, not too often. It completely doesn't work using any FTP software.
Considering that I need to use the former route most often (when it does work), any tips as to what browsers will allow FTP usage, and are there settings I need to be aware of to increase my chances?

Not sure how to help you as I've run into this myself on occasion. It's odd that it would work with IE, but not a "real" FTP client.

I changed my FTP server to Filezilla, and it seemed to help quite a bit.

I also use the Filezilla FTP client and haven't had any probems since.

"It completely doesn't work using any FTP software.", does the ftp server works? Can you ping the server?
