I have done a search through the site, but I have to be honest and say I am struggling to pick out what I need.
I have a domain www.domain.uk.com and when I bought it i built a big shop on www.sub.domain.uk.com - and i have got 1,310 pages from old shop in google. I lost the server hard drive and when I rebuilt shop I decided to put it directly on the domain and not the sub ..... and my new shop was ony finished yesterday. Now I need to get it into google and wanted to redirect the old 1,310 pages to the new main domain.
I have read a few things about something called a 301 redirection - but i really could not understand exactly what code to put and where .... and the explanations i saw had the words example1 and example2 - and i could not define which one was old domain which one was new one - also - i was not sure if I can actually do this type of redirection from a sub domain to the main domain ...
I have located the htacess file in the main domain ..... but there isnt one in the subdomain ...
please can anyone help me?
