A client has a computer I connect to to retrieve files from their server. The problem is they do not have a static IP address. It might remain constant for weeks or months but when their cable system goes down, as it did during this weekend's blizzard, it comes back up & assigns a new IP. The problem is this is a 9 to 5 operation & I generally get cooking in the wee hours when there is no one there to phone.
Is there a technique to find the current IP address? I connect using pcAnywhere, with their computer set up as the host & mine as the remote. They are served by a cable modem so are always connected.
Thanks.
