Hello....

I'm interested in comments on the likelyhood of webTV becoming an important way to deliver websites to the viewer. The hardware is available in shops but supporting advertising is non-existent and it seems to be a technology that nobody is interested in.

Is anyone seriously thinking of making web TV versions of their sites? Is there sufficient viewer numbers to warrant that exercise?

Anyone with knowledge/experience to share on this?

My only experience is that I'm still getting a steady, though small, dose of daily traffic from Go.com's old directory for webtv.

I do think this is going to be a big deal as AOL-TW get the merger wrinkles ironed out and kick into high gear. AOL is already making a push in TV ads for some sort of TV-based browsing. Has anyone taken a look at that? Is it the same as the old webtv standards?
