My Host Server's url re-directs to Verisign?!?

Uh, Oh! This doesn't have a good feel to it.

My site is still up and running, but main host server's url re-directs to Verisign.

Phones are busy, busy, busy.

e-mail to support bounces.

Delivery failed
550 <unknown[XX.XXX.XXX.X]>: Client host rejected: The domain you are trying to send mail to does not exist.

Just paid renewal fees for a year, yesterday.

No FTP access - Denied.

Pop e-mail - Denied.

Pings - failed, failed, failed....

Checked family tree and have no ancestors named "Murphy".

Yikes!

Sounds bad, but could just be a DNS hiccup that they are sorting out - good luck...

Thanks bcolflesh.

The more I dig into this, the more it appears to be a Sitefinder glitch of some kind.

For whatever reason, SF re-directs my host servers url indicating on the surface the site may be defunct or otherwise appearing 'available'.

I spoke with a couple of people at NetSol and that seems to be the general consensus.

Verisign should consider re-visiting this whole Sitefinder re-direct issue. If this can happen to a legitimate host server like mine, then it can happen to almost any site on the Internet at any time.

And that is scary...

Now, off to draft a message to sitefinderatverisign-grs.com and see what's what.
