This has all the hallmarks of one of those problems that you feel you'll never get to the bottom of (unless someone here knows of course ;) )

I'm creating mp3 files from wav's in Cakewalk Sonar that are around 19-20 minutes long. However, when I play them in Windows Media Player, it thinks they are 9 minutes or so long.

So the progress bar moves along as the mp3 plays, until it hits the right hand side around 9 minutes, then just sits there until the whole mp3 has played.

But if I stop the mp3, click on the right hand end of the progress bar, it jumps to the 'real' end of the mp3!

Make any sense? Not to me. Any ideas?

Cheers

If the entire MP3 plays, it sounds like a bug in Windows Media Player to me. Version 9.00.00.3008 seems to be the most recnet.

Spot on DaveAtIFG, thanks a lot. Now if it was only as easy to put those hairs back in as it was to pull them out...
