Postcode Finder/resolver

Anyone integrated address/postcode resolvers on forms?

A client wants a contact form to be able to prefill the address if the postcode is entered (UK). I don't expect this to be free, and postcodeanywhere looks not bad, although that's an ASP service (works out as pay-as-you-go which may be fine) rather than us hosting the data file.

Anyone done this before or have comments (with any postcode data file/service)?

Thanks

I've no experience with any particular solution, but whatever you do; allow the user to override the looked up address.

The post code database (as published by the Royal Mail) is, believe it or not, FULL OF ERRORS, and it annoys me that companies blindly assume that it is correct.

I can't order Dominos Pizza online because my postcode resolves to the wrong address.

The most frequent cause of problems is an incorrect insertion of new address (such as a new housing estate) by the Royal Mail.

I can concur with dmorrison on reliability. I have to have a special arrangement with Tesco.com (for groceries) because according to the Royal Mail my house, by postcode (which references my street), doesn't exist!

The house has been there, with the same number, for over 150 years!

As dmorrison says, an override, which Tesco don't have, would have resolved the problem.
