tracking down mail attacks

I am triying to trak the mail service that hosts a account that is sending email viruses.

All I have to work with is the senders address

Anyone now how to look up the provider from an address

Tried visualRoute but hit a dead end unable to trace past a certin point.

my time is too valuble to track this attacker. And if I did find him then what "hack him/her back" I don't have time to start a war.
