Convert dynamic URL's to Static URL's

Is it possible to convert dynamic URL into static One.If Yes-How?Do I write some script or some software.

I have following dynamic URL for one of my post in discussion group now I want to convert it into a static one to make it search engine friendly.

[sitename.com...]

You can use mod_rewrite module & .htaccess file if you have an apache server.
