Website down, traceroute reports "!N"

Network unreachable; exactly how bad is it?

Site is down, and the last entry of traceroute is

According to the traceroute manual page the "!N" after the time means "network unreachable". Should I be worried or really really very worried?

Since it's impossible to say, nobody said! :)

Could be a temporary phone line/network outage, a broken router, a IIS reboot, or a hundred other things, even a server that went up in smoke!

So how worried should you have been? Is the network still unavailable?
