Hi,

One of my sites is doing pretty well in Google at the moment but I want to drop one of the host headers for the site. The problem being, Google has indexed the site with host header I want to drop. I don't want to lose my traffic, so is there a way of saying, don't index this domain, index as this domain, only thing is the content will be the same! maybe a redirection but how do I tell googlebot in asp to index the other host header?

josmond,

There was a post within the past few days which I believe answered your specific question - how to do this in .asp. However, I can't seem to find it in any of the related forums. Hopefully, someone else will remember it and post.

You might want to investigate this documentation for a server-level solution: [microsoft.com...]

This post [webmasterworld.com] MAY be what you're looking for. I hope so, I'm wrong often enough! :)

Thanks Dave,

That's the one I was looking for. I guess it's been more than a few days, though...
