I will be using ASP,VBScript and Dreamweaver to develop a personal Website. No uploading to the Internet is involved. Actually,I have installed Win2K Advance Server because it has IIS and i need that to run ASP. Should I be using only Win XP Pro to develop the website?I heard that the dual boot system will cause trouble to the PC.Is that true? But I have already installed Win 2K Advance Server and Win XP Pro. So what should I do? BTW,Can I install softwares in Win 2K Advance Server?I heard that it is not advisable to install applications on the server. Is that true as well?

Please advice. Thank You.

Welcome to WebmasterWorld star_odie,

The version of IIS that comes with XP is meant to only let you host one site. If you are coding more that one then I would suggest you use Win2kAS.

I wouldn't say install application is unadviceable. However, they can cause a slow down if they are ram or processor intensive.
