I am a web developer who works exclusively with ASP at this point. I have had some customers inquire about Cold Fusion so I need to get started learning about it. Does anyone have a recommendation for a good book that will help me learn ColdFusion but also be useful as an advanced reference source for me when I am comfortable working with it? Sample code would be a big plus. What is the latest version of ColdFusion?

Thanks.

Latest Version: Cold Fusion MX
Best Book for current version: Ben Forta's ColdFusion MX Web Application Construction Kit, Fifth Edition

Ben Forta pretty much writes the coldfusion bible for every version that comes out, it's very straight forward, easy to just pick up and just start reading, but at the same time I know a couple guys who own companies that work exclusively with CF, have 8-10 people working for them and they still use it as a constant reference.

Back when V. 4 came out a good friend of mine read straight through the book in two days and started building the intranet data management for two companies within 1 week, of course a job was on the line and he is a genius. :)

The book is published by Macromedia Press - the company that makes Coldfusion
