I do not know if this is an off topic issue, but I would like some recommendations on the best option (commercial or free) to be included as a distribution list. I would prefer software based in mySQL and PHP and that can esaily automatize tasks.

Mailing list to receive newsletters, summary of the forums or any news related to the content of the forums/website. Simplicity in mamaging list for the admisitistratos is required.

I prefer using mailman from list.org to run my mailing lists. It offers web-based administration for both the users and administrator to add and remove people from the list. It helps with archives and digest mode as well. It's free (GNU) software written in python.

I'm not sure if it has the features you're looking for, though.
