I haven't a clue what you're doing either Andy but I'm certain some of our members have done this, I've seen discussions in the past about bandwidth issues... Can anyone provide this gentleman a few tips?

Not sure if this is exactly what you want, but I have an Intel webcam that came with a little app that takes a pic every 10secs or so (configurable) and uploads it as a jpeg via ftp to your webserver.
There are a few apps will do this (try http://www.webattack.com/freeware/webpublish/fwwebcam.shtml)

You then need a meta-refresh tag on your web page to refresh the pic every appropriate time interval.

Not exactly streaming video I know...

Streaming is a technique for large files being played without having to be fully downloaded.
Live video is a other issue , Make sure the client has deep pockets for the bandwith needed :)
