IIS and mySQL question

Does anyone know if mySQL will run on Microsoft IIS servers?
If so, any webhosting sites that support both and what you feel have offered outstanding price and support would be great.

Also what are the physical limitations on the number of tables in:

Microsoft Access
mySQL
Microsoft SQL Server 7.0/2000

Thanks

mySQL runs on MS Servers

I have it installed here at home. In regards to hosts, I *think* most MS servers tend to lean towards MSQL, or another SQL anyway, though don't hold me to that ;)

mySQL's scale as a whole is dependent only on physical space...though badly made db's will be alot slower if you ever got to that stage!

mySQL runs just fine on IIS.

There are an unlimited umber of tables you can use. Disk space is your only limitation.

Thanks for replies

Right now my concern is finding a web hosting company that can do IIS, ASP and mySQL. With SQL server licenses being so expensive, mySQL at $200 license/server is very attractive.

I understand Sun Micro bought out ChiliSoft! ASP. But I am not inclined to go that route because of my concerns of 100% compatability with the ASP spec.

Does anyone know of an IIS/ASP/mySQL web hosting company?

There is a huge window of opportunity for those hosting companies who can see the benefits of going this route.

There are several companies who use both UNIX and IIS hosting options. The debate always comes up as to which is better, but it really does depend on what you are comfortable with as a programmer. I learned ASP first, so I'm more comfortable in it.

I've dabbled in JSP, but don't have a use for the full power of it, and my servers are IIS. I don't want to install any type of TomCat or other layers on top of my server.
