Can anyone tell me how/where on Win98 to change which application are associated with file types?
e.g.:

On my PC .jpg launches PhotoShop but I would rather it launched Paint (for quick previewing).

and

I am about to install Real Video Player AND the latest Windows Media Player - and I want to switch defaults around for testing media files I am working on i.e. so a click on a .AVI launches Windows-Media then I make a change and it launches Real.

I think that to make it a permanent association, you need to go to control panel >> folder options >> file types, and change the .jpg/app association. You can use the same procedure for any file type from there

The method used here works, but on a case-by-case basis, not as a permanent association. Depends whether you want it to be or not, I suppose.
