Hi would any of the members like a forum for guiding users of Amazon Web Services?

There's a lot more to the services provided by AWS which warrants a new forum IMHO. Thanks!

I think ( from what is posted in the spiders forum ) that there are probably far more people here who block "anything" AWS, than there are who use it..

There are too many overly specialist forms already, some of them very quiet.

i think that is true, but i also think that WebmasterWorld is quieter than it once was altogether.
personally i think that specialist forums are good, i think a bootstrap one would be good ... although they are quiet, if you post a question and it doesn't get answered at least you know to look elsewhere rathert than think that it might just have been buried amongst other posts and hope that someone picks up on it or to bump it up yourself.

i guess ultimately we all need to post (decent) posts more, to help revive the beast!

If there is significant discussion of a topic that's generally when we will consider making a special forum for it.

We've already got one. It's in SSID.
