Awright, administrators, now what's up? What is piwik.imninjas.com and why is it adding a solid 30 seconds to the processing time of each new post?

It's an asynchronous post to Piwik which doesn't stop your page from rendering.

why it's dragging, I dunno.

which doesn't stop your page from rendering.

It doesn't affect the rendering of material that already exists. But when you put up a post, it's all in limbo until the piwik responds. Granted, "30 seconds" was an exaggeration. I counted this time and it was about 11 seconds.

Slow piwik is actually something I'm accustomed to in a different context: My own piwik database lives on a different server than the sites it's tracking, so when I check stats, everything takes forever. But it's funny seeing it at WebmasterWorld :)

Lucy, when you post, PIWIK isn't the slow part, it's the WebmasterWorld indexing system slowing it down.

I'm working on an indexing update that should make posting blazing fast, might go live this week if my comfort level with the new code deems it's ready to roll.

While out piwik servers may have issues of their own, they aren't causing the problem. We may have to deal with the piwik server too, butit's a totally separate issue.
