Ian Turner has been found - alive and healthy!

He has lost his passport and he is in Atlanta. Should be home with family shortly.

>>Well, there is a bit more to the story, but it does have a happy ending

Will we ever know, or is it a private story?

Will we ever know, or is it a private story?

I don't know the details, but I'm sure it involves a lion, a penguin, and a hilarious talking car named Bloomie.

One does not suddenly fall off the map in Atlanta just because you lose a passport

What happens in Atlanta stays in Atlanta.

I am surprised he has not been in to post. Is his wife still talking to him ;-)

I second that, martinibuster.
Ian is safe, and that is all that matters.

I'd just like to say a HUGE thankyou to everyone out there who really rallied around in Ian's time of need.

I'm so happy that it has all turned out OK...I can get some sleep now as can many other SEO's and get some work done...(and feel safe leaving my family for conferences in the future)

His safety is the first concern, his privacy the second. Anyone's idle curiousity is just completely off the relevancy scale.

Great news :) I've checked WebmasterWorld more times today than I normally do in a week. A big relief.

What a relief.

When I first saw his picture on WebmasterWorld, I thought: I know this guy!

Now I can have a pint and may he get back home soooooooonner!

Offtopic: Well done WebmasterWorld members for being part of the greatest online community ever!

It is up to Ian to fill everyone in on the details when he gets back to the UK.... he deserves a rest from his public image!

Everyone should just be relieved that he is ok and that he is on his way back to his wife and kids....

WOW I'm glad to hear that. I had nothing to add to the discussion as I was nowhere near where he could be but I've followed it closely. Welcome back Ian!

Ian Turner is one of our long-time mods and a great friend to WebmasterWorld.

Thank God he's OK.

In defense of those who've publically admitted curiosity, it's hard to have a pulse and not be at least a little curious.

But as noted already, what actually happened is for Ian and his family to divulge if they choose.

Besides, just speaking for myself, any feelings of curiosity are completely overwhelmed by feelings of joy and relief for Ian and his family. :-)

Just outstanding news...

Poor sod, trapped in America with no way out!

Just when we thought it couldn't get any worse ;-)

As to the gory details, I figure if I was meant to know, someone will tell me.

Ian <slap> welcome back. :)

How does it feel to be the most talked about seo on the plannet just now? Can I have an autograph.

On a serious note, what a relife. You gave us all quite a scare.

Mack.

Unfortunately, these things have a tendency to not turn out so well.

Glad to see a happy ending for once!
