He has lost his passport and he is in Atlanta. Should be home with family shortly.

This whole Ian Turner thread is a testament to the true greatness of the people of WW.
I look forward to reading Ian's posts in the future!
PS
How can we prevent this from happening again? IE. mobile messengers etc? SMS alerts ect? Can we learn from this?
Craig.

DaveN - You're doubtless safe in the company of Chris_R, so long as no one has to locate you or confirm your identify by your WhoIs info.

Umm ... Swebbie, I think you will find that amznVibe is in Florida. I always thought that was part of the US. Perhaps I am mistaken?
Anyway ... Very, very glad to hear Ian is safe and sound. I can't imagine the fear and concern his friends and family have been through. Alls well that ends well! :)

DaveN - so who was supposed to be watching you when you mounted that mechanical bull naked (or dang near naked...chaffing either way from what I heard)? or when you almost streaked through the Google party wearing only BakedJakes trueLocal apron for $500...some handlers... ;)

Heh heh I remember something like this happening to me in Japan once.
It was less of a passport issue and more of a waking up in a japanese police station and too much beer issue though.
It was all good, however. Those japanese police are rather amazing polite to gaijin.

Unfortunately for him, Chris_R and I were both off-duty and back at the hotel bar ;) I don't think he will be giving us both the same night off next conference :)

Welcome back Ian! Didn't have access to the internet over the weekend but had put a friend on alert and she phoned me with the fantastic news :)
