Its all over baby, this time round.
Only a select hardcore team of members left, all asleep.
No doubt the full de-brief will be getting done once Dave_N wakes up.
all I can say is it ROCKED.....

(better go get some sleep, as have been awake for 26 hours straight).
We crashed your party at the Thistle this past weekend and we loved every minute of it. We met some really wonderful people and it became one of the highlights of our trip.
You were all very kind and patient when we asked, "what does a webmaster do?" I don't think we have fully grasped it yet, but we are intrigued and are going to research it further. Who knows maybe at the next meeting we attend we will be official members.
Shaq- cafe Lazeez was wonderful, thank you for the recommendation.
Thank you
Kirsten and Kim
WOW...WHAT A TREMENDOUS SUCCESS!
We checked our audio feeds and saw we peaked out at just at 350 listeners! With an average 50 strong in the chat and a total of 100 coming in and out of chat throughout the nite.
The archive is being FTP'd now and is an incredible 56 Megs.
We appreciate everyone who participated in the interviews we ran tonite and to let everyone know...WE HAVE MORE PUBCON COVERAGE NEXT WEEK. hehehehe
Detlev Johnson will be on, and I would love to have some of you call in as well.
You guys indeed helped make RainMaker's first show out, a great success!
Thanks again.
For those of you who missed the Premiere Webcast of RainMaker recaping coverage of PubCon 2003 London...you can find a streaming archive of this webcast here:
An ex (obviously!) of mine once said the only thing I was "passionate" about was SEO which I thought slightly unfair.
"Passionate" is the word that could easily be used to describe every single person I met last w/e. I had an amazing time. Thank you everyone for sharing your knowledge with me.
Haven't stopped playing with my OVT yo-yo since (Thanks Chris_F)
PPG mentioned to me that he walked into the Thistle on Thurs/Fri and was amazed by how nice, friendly & sociable everyone was & how they obviously really enjoyed being there. I thought this was an excellent summation.
It was so different to normal working groups of people who hate what they do but still do it. The people I met love what they do - How rare is that in life?
I didn't really enjoy or get much from last years Pubcon for different reasons but this one blew my mind.
Got some good business leads from it, have already commissioned software with someone I met & will be able to massively help my client's bottom line as a result of 1 or 2 things I heard.
Can't make Orlando unfort as I'm moving country that w/e but if I could, I would. Thanks again.
See you in the hotel on Thurs next year.
John
Yes, we were in the alley...BUT WE HAD PANTS ON! lol
Thanks for the wonderful comments. We really did try and do PubCon justice and capture peoples true feelings about it and what a great response we had.
Just to clarify, a few people are having issues with the stream. You need to highlight the feed in the box and THEN click Stream.
We had a great time. Thanks again to Brett for having us across the pond and taking the time to talk with us about WebmasterWorld and PubCon and all the moderators who participated.
Much thanks to everyone.
Its a large file at 56 meg and thought it necessary to have something try to help stream it.
I really do hope you guys enjoy it. I just got off the phone with Shak, and they listened to it and had great things to say. This is an honor to me, as I regard Shak and his knowledge and abilities highly.
Enjoy!
