Its all over baby, this time round.
Only a select hardcore team of members left, all asleep.
No doubt the full de-brief will be getting done once Dave_N wakes up.
all I can say is it ROCKED.....
Shak
(better go get some sleep, as have been awake for 26 hours straight).

<added>Is sticky overloaded with pubcon talk or jsut temporarily messed up?</added>
No longer felt like I was from another solar system, which is the way I feel most of the time. It also became clear that we barely have a clue as human beings, what we've created in the Internet and the web. The web is a wild frontier, and spending time with other "pioneers" was important for my sanity.

This was my first PubCon and it was the single most important networking event I have been to this year, last year or the year before!
I want to make a formal request for Orlando to be moved as Sue (my wife) is dur to give birth on the 5th Feb so I think it is unlikely I will be able to make it but just in case the dates stay the same I am starting the "buttering up" now, though don't hold out much hope :P
For me the real networking for future relationships started at the Thistle and I wished I had stayed there for a few days and not left at midnight Saturday night.
Now I know what a WebmasterWorld PubCon is, how socially and financially valuable it is and IF I can get to Orlando in Feb then I will be there for days / weeks not the limited hours I was this weekend.
Thanks again everyone for helping me break my WebmasterWorld PubCon virginity and I promise to lurk less and post more :D

What a PubConference!
First, thanks to UK hosts who did an admirable job in representing the Webmasters of Britain (they only let their best go these events)!
I would like to thank:
RC for being there despite the fact his house may have flown over at any minute.
Matt Cutts, for taking the time to be there in spite of having just uprooted and resettled a week ago. (always above and beyond Matt - thanks)
NFFC for the moral support when it looked like the sky was falling.
Hawkgirl, for all the work with this conference and keeping me on track.
Oilman, for handling handling the MC duties and for even being there. (Tell S. thanks for letting you come over!)
Engine, thanks for handling all the Press and tour guide duties.
Marcia and Woz and the rest of the moderator gang for watching the board for the weekend. Much much appreciated. Mandatory presence required at the next one.
PositionTech, GoToast and INeedHits for being the first sponsors to jump on board of Orlando PubConference VI.
Shak, for the one man promotion team. You did more than anyone will ever realize - your are a promoters' promoter.
Jim WebDiversity, dedication award! Thanks for being there despite having tickets to the Rolling Stones. (there is NO way I would have skipped the Stones dude - no way...lol)
MakeMeTop, for the best PubConference speech ever!
2_Much, Ian Turner, Oilman, Caine, Rasmus and the whole gang that helped work the conference! You made it seem so simple. Thanks guys and gals. Best mod crew on the planet - bar none!
Everyone who I am too tired to thank at this point. Cheers!
And lastly, to everyone who came to the event!

300+ people from 25+ countries getting together for a weekend in an English Pub? Hmmm
There is something big going on here folks. I can't quite wrap my brain entirely around it just yet. This is something really big - internet/world wide in the making. It aint burnin man, but it is real, it is happening, and it is growing. Keep thinking about it.

Although I'd like to check out 'well in advance' hotel and flight prices so I can see if I can get a great deal :-) Ta!

I met me evul twin.
Had some of the best times ever just talking and maybe with a shot or two of baileys to wash it ul down.
You guys really should get some straws though....
Can't mention names but you all know who you are - you really made me feel so much like family.
That lightbulb was still out when I left - and now I am out of places to get chicken ribs.
Thanks ladies, gents (including one daddy).
So looking forward to Florida.
I'm fairly inexperienced in SEO, but I had some valuable conversations, and will be putting some of the more legitimate techniques that I learned into practice. Nevertheless, it was also fascinating to learn about some of the "cutting edge" methods that people are using in SEO.
I certainly don't have any problem with the pub format. I've always been a fan of pubs, so having a conference in one makes good sense to me.
Sums it all up really.
Now it's a matter of learning from the pros.
See, some people hung out with bailey and then couldn't hang the 2-3 days after, others (won't mention names) kept going to bed before 5am (don't understand why!), and then there's the people to learn from, those with real staying power, those who would just keep going.
These are the real artists of their trade, the ones who really "get it". PubCon was the place to meet them.
So good crack, despite the fact I had to leave early for go karting back in Portsmouth the next day. That'll get me the "undedicated" award eh Brett ;)
On the other hand, go find where Matt Cutts is standing and listen to all the tidbits that he lets drop. I learned a whole bunch of Google tips while picking his brain. For example, I asked him a bunch of questions like "I do ... on my sites, will this get me in trouble?" It was very re-assuring that he said no in every case. That was worth the price of admission.
There is tens of thousands of dollars worth of info being passed around at the conference. The February conference will be organized differently, adding a huge amount of additional value. You'd have to be an idiot not to show up.
