Its all over baby, this time round.
Only a select hardcore team of members left, all asleep.
No doubt the full de-brief will be getting done once Dave_N wakes up.
all I can say is it ROCKED.....

(better go get some sleep, as have been awake for 26 hours straight).
Maybe by then I can buy a lap top and still manage to keep the business going! :)
Glad everyone (well most of you) had a great and presumably informative time of it!
Cheers Brett the plan worked and we will be sending you the money tomorrow.
Ha ha ha ha ha.
Thanks for a good one and see you all soon.

Just got back late last night. It was a 22 hour day of travelling. I'm over a $1200 poorer. And I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat.
Missed ya digitalghost. I had to guess at what Cuban cigars to buy - man are they strong!
In fact, I missed several folks I know were there but perhaps next time.
Witnessed a conversation between NFFC, Oilman and DaveN which had me blushing.
Watched two members on their cell phones chatting with each other not realizing they were only a few feet apart.
Was outclassed and outdressed by CIML again. Though I heard he ended up locked out of his room without much on - thanks to a certain mod.
Saw Shak on day 2 (or was it 3) without sleep.
Decided not to test my "staying power" as my level of clarity rapidly fades after 1-2am.
Discovered many of those with Scottish accents were easier to understand after a few drinks though I'm not sure if it was because I could understand them better or they were speaking more clearly.
The newbie purple cross goes to Ollie (sp?) for being a significant other who accompanied his mate into the lounge and pubs not having the slightest idea of what he was getting into. And more importantly for being such a cheerful fellow who hung out, joined in conversations and probably took out a small loan on their house to pay for all the drinks they bought - first dozen rounds in Orlando are on me! Cheers mate - I'm glad you came along.
Did get to do some sightseeing and bought a few souveniers. Yes, I finally found those t-shirts.
Checked off all of the items on my "to do" list and then some.
Had a few epiphanies along the way and am busy trying to work them into the schedule.
Met some new folks that I hadn't met before. I did print my nick on my name tag and will next time as well. Don't be shy, walk up and introduce yourself if you want to chat!
I had dinner with some great folks on several occassions, learned alot, hopefully shared some in return and really loved the company.
Had some new opportunities offered which I hadn't expected.
All things considered, I don't think of this as a conference anymore. It's a family to me. Where else can I hang out, drink beer, talk about what I love and explore concepts that really interest me. Not to mention have a few good laughs and make new friends along the way. No, it's more than a conference. It's a family gathering - an odd, loud and idiosyncratic family but a family all the same.

For those who didn't get anything out of PubCon, take my advice and just push your way into conversations, you will always be welcomed, even if they are speaking German. I also think it's great to have a plan on what you want out of PubCon. I think I got more out of Boston because I knew exactly what I was looking for (new programs, affiliates, etc), whereas this time I knew what I wasn't looking for due to a limited amount of time to start new projects. All in all though it's great just to hear that you are on the right track, the smart people actually agree with you, and seeing sparkling eyes when you explain what you do, rather than a dull stare.
My only problem was actually Mister Misty (I think it's sticking now Shak), I still don't think he has a clue what I do and he is refusing anymore conferences unless he can invite a friend.

Of course he knows what you do... You design things which require his expert opinion since he represents your average user... I think it's the rest of us that he doesn't quite undestand!
Anyway you're much braver than I am - I've talked to lots of our average users in the past and quite frankly most of them scare me!

Shak...Monday morning...ugh!
As for post PubCon wrap up...we have a Live Broadcast tomorrow with numerous interviews. These interviews include WebmasterWorld Moderators, Brett Tabke, Matt Cutts of Google, Kanoodle, ESpotting, Overture UK, Danny Sullivan of SearchEngineWatch and a variety of other interviews.
If a mod says its kewl to post the location of the broadcast tomorrow evening, I will post it. Otherwise you will need to email me for the info.
Brett was going to be with us Live, but he will be on a plane tomorrow. So we will indeed reschedule with Brett...eh! ;-)
Thanks so much to everyone who helped us by agreeing to do interviews! This is going to be a great PubCon follow up, especially for peeps who couldn't make it!
It was wonderful to meet up and swap "war stories" with the stalwarts - and thanks to all the people who I had never met in the flesh before, who greeted me like an old friend. That was especially nice.
See you all in Florida!
"chicken ribs"
I wish I'd been there for that, he must have thought you guys were insane.
So much I want to talk about, but no more people around me that would understand me if I talk about SEO stuff.
Thomas, that completely sums up my post-PubCon feeling (I guess we were still PubCon-ing until Tuesday morning though).
like an old friend
That's what you are Barry, to a lot of us (and thanks for the drinks).
The only thing keeping me sane right now is the thought of Orlando. it's not that long...it's not that long...it's not that long...
FYI peeps...since Brett is traveling...we have a special pinch hitter guest on the primere webcast of RainMaker...
The President of Kanoodle, Mike Feeley will be with us as well.
Come login to the chat early and get the audio feed up and tested! You won't want to miss all of the Moderator interviews with NFFC, MIVOX, Brendon Scott and more.
Interviews will also include, Matt Cutts of Google, Overture UK, ESpotting and Danny Sullivan of SearchEngineWatch.
