Ever wondered the lengths people will go to in stuffing keywords into the extended URL format? Read it and weep... it's a top 10 site in Google.

What a sad reflection on the art of SEO.... do you think they might have learnt this in a forum?

Imagine trying to fit their business card in your wallet... or being their sign-writer!

My guess would be that this isn't their primary domain, but rather a feeder domain (didn't look at the site in question though). There's good money to be had in booking out hotel rooms, travel accommodation etc.

It is a shame to see this type of thing, but maybe they took a tip from an old WPG newsletter about keyword stuffing and long domain names:).

Also adds validity to the theory that the last google update gave a huge boost to domain and url based keywords. foo-bar.com/foo/bar.htm went up in rank, while foobar.com/foobar.htm went down.

Yes, not much doubt that it is not the home domain. The webmaster probably thinks it is a great doorway..... and from a personal perspective, this is indicative of what will ultimately spell the end of doorways.

The temptation will be irresistable to use them as yet another contrived, bastardised way of getting over the top of the competition until repeated abuse gets them filtered out as spam.

When will people realize that CONTENT IS KING. If they spent half as much time getting solid content onto their sites as they do trying to manipulate rankings, they would be far, far better off.
