SEO Consultants Directory [webmasterworld.com]
> I've just come across an article which mentions a new SEO directory. It seems like a lot of hassel to get listed. Do you think it's worth it?
chris_f, I like your second sentence pointing out the hassle to get listed! This prevents most of the fly by night or less ethical SEO/SEM consultants and/or companies from wasting their time and our time going through the submission process. If you (not you directly) are serious about SEO/SEM, and you are good at what you do, then you'll take the time to submit.
> That one is. I wouldn't bother with any others, though.
Marcia, thanks! I got goose bumps when I read your response. We feel Webmaster World has been the pivotal point in our establishing a presence with the directory.
> The site design is nice, and by Brett posting about it shows that there is good concepts and trust behind the site. I listed there, the site design was clean, a lot of hours of programming went into it so its not another fly-by-night little directory structure.
EliteWeb, thank you for the compliments. More than a lot of hours went into the backend of this! We figure close to 100 so far with just the database. We started this back in February 2002 and have probably over a thousand hours in research, design and development.
Webmaster World and its members have been a solid source of quality information for us since it first started. We lurked for a long time before feeling confident enough to post.
Brett, you are the man! Your support alone would have been enough to give us the kick in the butt that we needed. After you posted the first topic, that solidified our firm commitment to developing a directory of quality SEO/SEM resources for the internet public.
