The IP traces back to Kornet.net in Korea - do Lycos index for them?

It does not come close to (class B) matching any ip addresses I know, you may want to review the whois [apnic.net] information.

That is the same source I used. If you look at the results page, it provides a link to the Korean NIC as the next step.

This search indicates that the IP belongs to Kornet in Korea. They offer a search on the front page of their site.

Are Lycos known to spider for third parties?

I've just gone back over that log entry - it exhibits exactly the same characteristics as other known Lycos spiders - HTTP headers, crawling pattern, you name it - they all match.

Does anyone else have any info on this?
